White modern facade with tall impact windows

/ 01 · Protection

Hurricane-Grade Resilience

Florida residents know the season. Our products are tested to withstand blow after blow from a 9-pound 2x4 at 34 mph plus sustained hurricane-force winds, and still hold in frame. The durable inner layer keeps your family safe even if the outer pane fractures.

More Than Storm Defense

Impact glass quietly pays you back year after year: reduced energy bills, meaningfully lower interior noise, UV protection for your floors and furniture, and a genuine deterrent against intrusion. Many homeowners also see reduced insurance premiums after installation.

The process

Six steps, no surprises

Most people have never had impact windows fitted. Here is exactly what happens, in order.

Impact window installation from scaffold
Get a written quote
  1. 01

    Measure and specify

We measure every opening and work out the design pressure it has to meet. The product follows from that, not from a catalogue.

  2. 02

    Written quote

Units, labour, permit, removal and making good. All of it in writing before anything is ordered.

  3. 03

    Permit

Impact work is permitted work in Florida. We pull it and submit the product approval documentation.

  4. 04

    Installation

Old units out, new units fixed to spec, sealed and finished. Your home is secure at the end of every day.

  5. 05

    Inspection

The work is inspected against the permit, which is also your documentation that it was done right.

  6. 06

    Clean up

Old units taken away, site cleared.

Common questions

Impact windows, answered plainly

See all questions
Can impact glass break?

Yes, but it takes far more of an impact. It can withstand blow after blow from a 9-pound 2×4 travelling at 34 miles per hour, followed by hurricane-force winds, and still remain in its frame. If it does break, the inner layer holds the glass together so the opening stays sealed.

Do you need a permit to install impact windows?

Yes. Replacing windows and doors in Florida is permitted work, and the product approval documentation is submitted with the permit. The installation is then inspected.

How long does installation take?

It depends on how many openings there are and what the walls are made of. A small job can be a day; a whole house is longer. We give you a realistic window when we quote rather than a number that sounds good.

How much do impact windows cost?

There isn't an honest single number, and we'd rather not invent one. The price moves with how many openings you have, their size, whether the frames are aluminium or vinyl, the design pressure each opening has to meet, and how hard they are to reach. A small job and a whole house are different orders of magnitude. What we can promise is a written quote that itemises units, labour, permit and removal, so you can see exactly what you're paying for.

What warranty do you offer?

Labour is warranted for one year. The units themselves carry the manufacturer's warranty, which varies by product. We'll tell you which one applies to what we're quoting before you order.

Do you cover my area?

We're based in West Palm Beach and work across Florida. If you're not sure whether we cover you, call (561) 422-1012 and ask. It's a quick answer.

Ready for a written quote?

Tell us what you need and we’ll come back with a written quote that itemises units, labour, permit and disposal.
